Honestly, I could do better in my approach to information, and this is how I plan to be a better-informed individual. I would also love to know how others process information. Relative to all that goes on these days and the falseness of its reporting, I have always subscribed to the "less is more" approach. Some might call it the "head in the sand" method. Being underexposed is much more preferable to being overexposed in my book. My days are busy and numbered. I keep the problems of the world on my doorstep, but never allow them to come inside. It's evolution. It's a defense mechanism and a means of self-preservation for me. I am not sure as living beings we are designed for the sensory overload we let ourselves be abused by on a daily basis. By nature, I am a skeptic, and it most certainly serves me as an asset. Whatever happened to all of those drones in New Jersey anyway? It's better to not believe something in 2025 until it's proven to be legitimate. I did say I could do better to stay informed, and I will try my best to avoid misinformation. I recently put a few news apps on my phone (a first). I have the Associated Press, BBC, NPR, and Al Jazeera. I am not going to look at all of these every day, but it allows me to cross-reference stories I am interested in from reputable news agencies. None are without bias or agendas, but that goes for all of them. Some of them are foreign agencies because I think it's important to see things from a lens in a different part of the world. Then we can better discern the truth.
